This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website, sheppardlawfirm.net, or contact us through any of our communication channels.

We may collect personal information that you voluntarily provide when you:

Our case-review forms also ask about matters such as dates, location, court or report numbers, deadlines, available evidence, and the status of a dispute. The injury form asks about injuries, treatment, and insurance. Submit only the brief information needed for an initial review.

Case-review forms include the page address and referring page, when available, with your submission. They also create a review priority and summary flags from your answers to help organize the inquiry. These are preliminary screening aids, not an attorney’s evaluation or acceptance of your matter.

Website Forms and Consultation Arrangements

Our website is hosted by Netlify, and our inquiry forms use Netlify Forms to process and store submissions for the firm. Form information may also be delivered through email notifications. See Netlify’s Privacy Statement. These public forms are not a confidential document portal and do not offer file uploads. Do not include Social Security numbers, payment-card details, or detailed medical or other sensitive records. Wait for the firm’s document-delivery instructions.

Consultation payment and scheduling instructions are provided separately when appropriate. Our public inquiry forms do not collect payment-card information. Review the privacy terms of any payment or scheduling provider before using its service.

Information Collected Automatically

When you visit our website, we may automatically collect certain information about your device and usage, including:

SMS Communications

Our homepage form offers an optional checkbox for text messages about appointments and general inquiries. Submitting an inquiry or providing a phone number alone does not select that option. Information Sharing

Information is disclosed to the website and communications providers described in this policy when you use their services through our site. Analytics and advertising providers may use browsing information under their own terms and privacy policies. We may also disclose information:

Data Security

No method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure. Website forms, ordinary email, and text messages should not be used as a secure channel for sensitive documents. Contact the firm for appropriate delivery instructions.

Sending an inquiry or documents does not mean the firm has accepted your matter. Representation begins only after the firm accepts the engagement and both you and the firm sign a written engagement agreement. This policy does not change any confidentiality duties that otherwise apply.

Cookies and Tracking

Google Analytics uses cookies and similar identifiers to measure visits and interactions. Our site records events such as clicking a phone, email, or consultation link, choosing a practice area, starting an inquiry form, and attempting to submit it. These custom interaction events include page, form, and practice-area labels and omit your typed form responses. Page addresses and activity can still reveal the legal topics you view.

Meta Pixel sends page-view information to Meta and may use cookies or other identifiers to associate browsing activity with information Meta holds. Google and Meta may process information for measurement, service improvement, and advertising under their respective policies and settings. Google Analytics and Meta Pixel can load when you visit a page. We do not currently offer an on-site control for consenting to or turning off that tracking. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings and review the providers’ privacy controls. Google also offers an Analytics opt-out browser add-on for supported browsers. These options have limits: blocking cookies or changing advertising preferences does not necessarily stop every network request or all data collection.

Fonts, Media, and Embedded Content

We load fonts from Google Fonts and some images from Cloudinary. Some pages include a Google Maps map or a YouTube video. Loading these resources connects your browser to the provider, which receives information such as your IP address and browser details; embedded services may also use cookies or information from an account you have with that provider. Third-Party Links

Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their privacy policies.

Children’s Privacy

Our website is not directed to individuals under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
