A clear first step for a Mississippi legal matter

An initial call or form submission gives the firm a chance to understand the basic issue, identify immediate scheduling concerns, and determine whether the matter is one the firm can evaluate. Contacting the firm does not create an attorney-client relationship.

Step 1

Send the essential facts

Provide a short timeline, the names of the people or organizations involved, and the Mississippi county or court connected to the matter. If a case has already been filed, include the case number and the next known hearing or deadline.

Step 2

The firm reviews the fit

The firm may need to check for conflicts, ask follow-up questions, or request documents before deciding whether to schedule a consultation. Useful starting information depends on the issue:

  • Accident date, location, report information, insurers, and treatment status
  • Charge, court, citation or arrest date, and next court setting
  • Will, death certificate, lease, contract, notice, or filed pleadings
Step 3

Confirm the next action

If the matter is a potential fit, the firm will explain the next step, which may be a consultation or a request for additional records. Representation begins only after the firm agrees to accept the matter and both sides complete a written engagement agreement.
